Re-visit “Why do many businesses reach success, followed by failure?”

This is a re-visit to what we’ve done in the past and need to update or redo if we haven’t.  A chance to remind our self… enjoy.

Richard St. John in his Ted Talks entertaining presentation does a fantastic job in 6 minutes teaching you how to achieve and sustain success in your business.  It is not possible to climb a ladder straight to success.  When you achieve success you must never stop doing what got you there.

His “8 To Be Great” process is continuous: Passion, Work, Focus, Push, Ideas, Improve, Serve, and Persist.

With my clients, I replace “Push with Pull”.  We pull your employees to succeed with tools like daily 5-minute team meetings,  lean manufacturinggain sharing and open-book management.  Achieving success is endless continuous improvement and performance measurement.   Sustaining change efforts need to be part of your every day business systems and a key part of your culture.
