So what do you need to be a business development candidate?

  • Business development candidates with a strong business acumen and experience in finance or corporate sales tend to do well.

  • To understand the competitive landscape, a candidate needsstrong research skills.

  • To analyze new business opportunities, a candidate needsexcellent quantitative and analytical skills.

  • To negotiate, the candidate needs excellent people and communication skills.

  • And, of course, to close deals, the candidate needs the killer deal-closing instincts possessed by the best sales types.
