Self-Care for the Busy Mind

Something short for the day.  Enjoy and keep this in mind.

Have you have those days or weeks when your mind is busy?

A busy mind with planning, checking your progress, and making sure that you have accomplished everything that had to get done before the day is over?

I have been having a busy mind with thoughts going to several different projects.  What I am noticing is that unless I take conscious mindful action to do something different with my thoughts, I will feel exhausted.  And I do feel exhausted!

This morning, my body was trying to let me know that I am doing too much and not paying attention to it by developing a sore throat.  Now that got my attention!  So I took a nap this afternoon, and I am seeing how I can take better care of my ‘whole’ self — by slowing my mind (and my breath) and give my body needed attention and a chance to relax.
